I have now found what I think is a suitable backing for Lady Eleanor and it is now framed and Ellie has taken it home.
Ellie has called her Mary Poppins.  Oh well - when she is older she will see why she is Lady Eleanor.

The finished fan.  A wee bit squashed as I wanted to fix to an A4 sheet of card.  As  it is always a problem to fix parchment without glue  or other stuff showing I did it by using brads in the points of the blades.

1st blade of a new fan.  The centre panel has been coloured blue but it hardly shows up against the black card.  Hopefully it will show better when it is finished and properly mounted.

The border is from a pattern in a magazine and the beautiful flower is one of those iron on motifs which I found at a show recently.  The holographic card is from A & B.  I might try a different colour card.



Changed the background to a sheet of charcoal grey mirri board and put it temporarily into the new frame I bought.  It looks so different.

The cream border goes all the way around the card but the scanner cut it off.

In the photo you can't see the parchment pattern very clearly.  It is better 'in the flesh'.

These two cards by crafters this morning.  First one is a copy (different image and colours) of a birthday card I did for my sister.  The second card is using Fairy Match-Its.

I have done this heart parchment before but slightly differently.  This time I backed it with rainbow vellum and then managed to find some backing paper that seems to be made for it.   I use two pieces of the same paper but different shades butted up together behind the heart.    I haven't decided on any sentiment yet.

1st Mother's day card for 2009



Just 2 layers of decoupage with 1mm pads and I found the daisy buttons in a pot I had buried in the cupboard.  You never know what you are going to find.
