This card has been a pain to do.  This is the second attempt and is still full of mistakes some of which I have managed to rescue.  The original design used peel off silhouettes of a  Mum, Dad and two children but I have done mine this way. I also didn't prick out the two larger ovals as per the pattern.  All good practice though and acceptable as long as the recipient hasn't got a magnifying light.

This is my Birthday card for my son (a very keen golfer needless to say).  This is the first parchment card that I have designed from start to finish and not used someone elses pattern.  I didn't do the drawing - that is a stamped image from a stamp I have -  I traced and then embossed etc and then painted on the back.  The border was just something I concocted.  The base card is an aperture card from A & B.

1st go at this type of parchment pattern.  Pattern by Christine Coleman. I found getting the black outline finer very difficult and I  know it will come with practice.  A couple of smudges too - not used to working with inks. They take longer than watercolours to dry.
The background comes from Passion for Fashion.  The colour was perfect.

Another parchment pattern from Christine Coleman again using black ink and black paint.  I love this pattern.  I have tried to do it justice and I think the lines are thinner (apart from where they have to be thick in the pattern). 
I didn't have the correct bronze paint for the ribbon so I used  a pearlescent watercolour (a set of metallics I have) and I am pleased with the result.  The liner is a  striped vellum that  I  found and the parchment itself has been coloured with oil pastel and dorso oil.

Now that the recipient has received it I can say it was a special card for a special person.

This pattern is called Lady Eleanor which I thought appropriate for my Ellie. I need to find a warmer background before I frame it for her bedroom.

1st trial blade of a 12 blade fan.  There are some wonderful patterns out there for some fantastic fans but I thought I ought to start with the simplest I could find.
