Bookatrix ideas
« on: October 24, 2006, 01:21:41 PM »
Has anyone ever made cards using one of those bookatrix things?

Just got myself one and know how to use it – just really want some inspiration and a look at what other people have done with it.

So come on crafty people – show me your bookatrix (please)

Thanks

There are quite a few people who have bookatrix cards in their gallery, which you could look at for ideas.  I have one which was my very first attempt.  But I am sure there are plenty of others who make a much better job than I do.  Can't remember who else has at the moment, but you could try putting bookatrix in the search and see what comes up.

Bookatrix is my fav toy at the moment, much better than the xmas board which is driving me up the wall! Also just got the dress to impress board, but only for the handbag template although I may try to make the romper suit into a santa!

I Have used bookatrix board and love it.  The best tip is use good quailty card and paper and used a variety on each card i.e. mix plain, pearlescent and mirror or holographic in complementary colours.  Nice peeloff boarders set the card off to.  Then add any embellishment or stamped image you fancy or even a verse.  Play with the board its take a couple of attempts to get the knack of it but once you do its brilliant

To do the boards justice you do need to use the 6mm ball tool I tried with smaller tools while the 6mm arrived but it was harder to get the grooves Also if you use a candle  rubbed lightly over the card you will find the tool slides easier Hope this helps

I have the Bookatrix that I find easy to use and I also have the Framey, the Romance and the new Majestic which has some smaller designs on. All can be mixed together for great results.
