This was our parchment lesson last week - Silhouettes. I have discovered that the camera truly doesn't lie and can see through paper.  In real life the black looks thick and shiny ( it was done by a Sakura Glaze pen) but in the photo you can see where I have embossed from behind and went over the lines.  I didn't think it mattered as you wouldn't be able to see it from the front.  But I know there are certain people(no names  etc)  who will magnify to 400% and it will show. Actually I think it shows without any magnification.   Apart from the oval being a mite wonky I am quite pleased.  This was my first time doing crosses with scissors and I am still bleeding!!

This was done way back last September and I have just made the card again - finishing off the aperture properly and here is the new one for comparison  - 9 months on.

Front

Front and back opened out

Inside

Commission card made using Motor Advertising signs (collected by the person the card was commissioned for) and a graphics programme to put name on the sign and alter the opacity.  The tags were made by reducing the photos down and attaching a clear bubble tag and a 'screw' brad.

Messy  Rabbits.

The card is straight.  The border is designed to look like that.

A very quick 'kit' card for my Nephew.  I am afraid I haven't the time for anything else at the moment.
The scan makes the colours look a bit flat and dull by they are quite good colours and the edge is gold foil.

Another from the 'kit'.  Thought I would use it up to save putting something else back in the cupboard.

And another one.  This time I used a backing sheet from Robert Addams Vintage Transport.

This fabulous cross stitch card was made especially for me by Pippin.  I am going to frame it as it is so special.

This lovely card received from Joyce this morning.
The scanner has not done it full justice as I think the pearls slipped a bit on the glass.

There is a much better piccie of this on Dram's gallery.
