Stamping with clear stamps

Having bought the lace stamps recently I have found that you get a better impression if you put your paper or card on a thin layer of "funky foam", and stamp on top.

This gives that little bit of give that you get with wooden stamps and the clingon sticky stuff that you mount stamos on.
Try it works for me!

Nice one Harty, thanks for that ;)  I've been using my embossing mat for my clematis stamps.

I treated myself to one of those kitchen silicone mats. The soft type that you can roll out your pastry on and put directly into the oven. It's quite spongy and gives a great surface to stamp on. It also has the advantage that when it's covered in glue, glitter and ink, you can scrub it clean. Being heatproof it's also good and saves your cutting mat when using the hot air tool. 8)

I have a big yellow rubber stamping mat which I was advised was better than the purple ones by a lady who runs a craft stall.  Before I used to just use my cutting mat which was usually okay but I have found that these special mats are far better.
