Cover front of card.

Whenever I see a demo where they cover the front of the card with backing paper, they always take the paper a little way round the back.
I never did this. Today when making cards I did take the backing paper round the back and secured it there but it looked awful.
Do other cardmakers do this?. Or do you cut the backing paper off level with the crease as I usually do?
Sorry to be long-winded but it is hard to explain in few words!

Since seeing Sue Smith do it, I always try, if using paper on the card front, to take it over the back, only a little bit though. When you stick it down. put a peel off down to finish it off.

Yes I always do this as well. You definately need the peel off though otherwise it looks unfinished I think.

Don't use this method on all my cards, depends on the type I'm doing. Have to agree the peel off just finishes the job off nicely.[/color]

Carole, I make a lot of cards this way. What I usually do is decide how much paper you want on the front of the card then add extra paper to fit on the back. Score a fold line then your card should fit into this fold. I stick mine down with double sided tape. I always finish off using a peel off border. If you have a look at the pictures of cards you will see a couple that I have done using this method. If this makes any sense I hope it helps.
