I love the bokatrix board, and i found that if you make a double thickness stand, similar to the ones on cardboard frames that school photos come in, then stick this to the back, it works a treat.I have a couple in my photobucket, so i'll link it to this site so you acn have a look.
ALY, welcome to the forum, i love your picture for your avatar.

New Member. Have all the boards and have used them all quite successfully- thank God !! They're too expensive to leave in the drawer. I rub a candle over the card first and it does work.
The biggest prob is making insert for the fantasy cards ( Fan & Butterfly) a bit fiddly and time consuming.
Use loads of peel offs, flowers, bows, and toppers to suit the occasion.
Happy crafting everyone

have posted this also in the general forum, but there is a *how to* video for the bookatrix and another keepsake board on:

http://www.retailtherapy.tv/video.php?id=163

They have demos of several crafting things there. One thing was ... they used a baseboard in their demo .. made it much easier to assemble it seemed!

Keepsake Cardcraft have the new Dress to Impress board on their own website

http://www.keepsakecardcraft2004.biz/index.html

Hope I am not breaking any rules posting this on here, although as the Bookatrix board is sold here, I think it will be okay.

Thanks for the Link Viv, I have just watched it and it has made a lot of things clear  :D Like the way a base card was used, gave me a couple of ideas for a card I need to make for a special lady.

Thank you Margret for this link, I am still uming and arring on which one to buy, I like dry embossing but am unsure if I will get on with it as I have terrible pain in my hands.

Can you or someone else please advise me if you need to use a lot of pressure to emboss with them.

Thank you  Lyn x

Another newby here, I have all the Keepsake boards and use them for special cards. The bookatrix works well mounted on an A5 card.  I am also curious to see the results from the new board.  The lady who was having trouble with the peels offs round the edge, a quickie glue pen works wonders under the peel offs

I have all the boards, I wasn't impressed in the fan board at fist but it has grown on me.

Hi Lindyloo

I've not used my Bookatrix board yet, but I have not found that you need a lot of pressure when using the first 2 boards.

I have been playing with the bookatrix and found no real pressure was needed to emboss. I was so pleased with the results, I have made 3 today, one for my friends mom who is 90 on Tuesday and the other 2 are samples, one a wedding design and one a birthday design.
