Hi Barb, you certainly are not alone, with ending up with a little square to work in!  Most of my crafting friends and myself  wind up in this situation, the trouble is we have too much crafting stuff.

Hi Barb
as with all the other replies, this also applies to all of us I think, perhaps we're not just forgetful when we're creative, but also when we're shopping for crafty bits! cos if we didn't keep buying all those new sparkly extras we'd have a few more inches on the table. But the new goodies are simply too good to resist don't you think!
Happy crafting, lol Big Sue :D

They certainly are Big Sue.  I must admit that I've been very good this year so far and not spent to much.  Promised myself I was make use of what I already have and only buy what I really, really, really need!!! LOL[/color]
WELCOMEWelcome to the forum by the way.

I seem to have overflowed from my 'workdesk' onto trays ...

Seems we're all as bad as each other :)

I am so jelous reading of these crafters who have whole rooms to themselves ! Oh the luxury, when I want to craft or sew I have to extend the kitchen table, collect my numerous crafting items which then take at least half an hour to sort and place within reach on the table, and any embossing has to be done on the other side of the kitchen on another surface where there is a plug. With any luck ,if hubby is away working, this set up can stay for a day or two ( the kids have to eat their food in the tiny bit of space I clear for them.) otherwise it all has to go away again so we can all have tea together on the 'craft' table.
Oh how I long for a spare room to craft/sew in maybe one day my dreams will come true.

If it makes you feel better squeeks I share mine with the kids toys.

Barb Just to let you know that I have a 6 inch cutting mat I got free with a mag but it still doesn't matter I have only about 2 inches left by the time a get all my stuff out.  I usually end up with a pile of stuff each side and then what do you know it lands on the floor.

I believe you can't have a creative mind and be tidy together

Well, I have a craft room but I am impressed with those of you working in a 6'' square on the table.... I am sat at my computer desk doing my cards on a tray!! It used to worry me a bit being in such a mess but now I know its just a creative streak that we all have, it doesnt seem to matter any more!! :D
