I have tried doing this too but haven't yet perfected my *whooshing* technique! Sometimes I get get spots on my card when I have been too hesitant!

Viv are you spraying the hairspray into the air and 'waffting' the card through the mist? less chance of spotting the card this way.

I've done that too.  Also, instead of using chalks you can use cheap make up - blushers and eye shadows.  You get lots of nice colours, especially the pearly ones.

I can't remember the last time I actually used my hairspray for my hair !!  Works a treat on chalks like you say but it takes a bit of nerve to wack the spray on when you have spent ages chalking....     LUBI xxx

Sheila Oliver was demonstrating at an open day at my local craft shop on Bank Holiday Monday and said that cheap hairspray worked better as a fixer than expensive brands, as the dearer ones contain conditioners and other stuff which can mark your card.
