I'm sure the folks who receive your cards love them Ladyjane. There's nothing better than a card made from the heart.
I'm just getting into scrapbooking after months of stash building and stroking I'm finally using some!!
-
i've started scrapping after getting fed up with card making. i love being able to match colours, patterns etc as well as having a larger area to work on ;D
-
I started when I ended up with so many cards I had nowhere to store them, but my family love them when I send them. I know A&B have loads of work on but I hope that in the not too distant future they will be able to have a scrapbook section in their shop.

Have recently taken up scrapbooking, making two scrapbooks for my daughters with all the old photos. Enjoy using all my nice goodies I have bought in the past in them. Also a way to use up the things I bought for cardmaking but then didn't
-
I am getting lots of bits together to start making scrapbooks for my granddaughters. So when I start I will be yelling for help :)

I love scrapbooking, as I love to preserve memories.
Bought my first kit from Alan and Barry when they first had scrapboking on idea world. Seemed exspensive at the time, but well worth it.
I started watching the show telling my hubby what a daft hobby scrapbooking was, by the end of the hour I`d ordered a kit. I now have lots of scrapbooking projects in progress ( i never seem to finish any!!).
Looking forward to seeing lots of scrapbooking goodies on the site.

I haven't done any scrapbooking yet but a friend made a lovely scrapbook page relating to love, it had family, friends and dogs on it, it was really nice. It made me start to gather things to have a go on the same theme, except for the dogs.
As for the remark, very insensitive, but don't let that put you off. Try making a card from a magazine and before you know it you will be designing your own.

hi, Just being to the NEC this weekend. Making cards for about a yr, but now got the bug for scrapebooking. Got the go fever but i'm stuck where to start.
Different people like different cards don't give up.

I've been scrapbooking for about 2 years now. the first one I did was all about my pony Maverick :) (in the picture). I thought I was going to loose him :'(so decided to get as many photo memories as possible. Luckily he pulled through and is going strong. :)
I do make the odd card when there's a special occasion but I have to admit to being a bit of scrapaddict.
-
I bought my 1st scrapbooking bits over 4 years ago while in USA - ashamed to say I havent dared take the 1st step of putting a page together (and there's plenty in the folder to get going on!!)
The only pages I've done are for A&B on C&C and I dont count them! LOL
I have got hooked on the mini scrapbooks - approx 5" square - bought as a kit but I'm going to try making my own with some of the many patterned papers I have.
Maybe I'll get to make some with whatever Alan is going to surprise us with..... ::)

:) :) :) :) :) :)
Alan and Barry on tv... and scrapbooking !!!!
......I have died and gone to heaven ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have made two scrapbook . I enjoyed collecting and putting
both of them together . They were presents from my Dad who
is very ill. He loves his garden and flowers and now can't look
after them.So lots of memories for himto keep and look at. The other for my Aunt's 60th birthday. She lives in Canada now and
had no pictures from her life here in Endland. So Mum and I copied photo's from friends and family here from when she was
a child to the present day. Lots of tears when she received her
scrapbook. They are a very special way of making memories
crafted with a great deal of love.
Sorry went on a bit then.

Hi all,
I'm off to see what this Discover bonanza is like! eeek
I've been told that u can cross over card making idea to scrapbooking & back again.
I'm going on my own with a confused look on my face, And hope to open up my mind & eyes to see what the lark is all about.
now me been shy & tend to listen a lot & when i do speak i speak softly & quiet.
The main thing is i'm scared out of my brains about it, sry being going on about it. Stu
-
Hi Stuart.
Don't be scared about Bonanza. From what I've heard you'll have a fantastic time. I like doing scrap booking too and you can as you say 'cross over' from one to the other. It's a much nicer way of displaying your photos than just sticking them in an album or shoebox. So go and enjoy yourself Stuart. I'm jealous. LOL

I have a lot of albums from when I was a little girl, always a hobby of mine and was lucky enough to have very large families on both sides who used to take lots of photos, some of my albums are over 50 years old, but found one (only 1) recently that was fading, so thought I would do two scrapbooks for my daughters, have been scanning the black and white photos in, but will have the coloured ones printed. Both scrapbooks are going from my great grandparents up to when my daughters were little so span a lot of years, but perhaps later I will do a more condensed one for them both.

I was scared to start, don't know why, cos it just like card-making - but you get to keep your work! Like that bit!!
I think a lot of people can be overwhelmed with all the hammers, eyelets etc, cos they can be quite costly - better to use brads and peel-offs. then build up to the 'hammerin' when you get more into it!
For my first attempt, I tore a load of paper into strips, then some into squarish shapes etc, threw them onto the page, and started to tidy it up and voila!! A strange mess greeted me, but I just played around with it!
-
Oh Maggie thats very artistic, people get huge amounts of money for just that. Can just see you in a studio throwing pots of paint around!!! AND I do like the samples you have done.
I am still trying to cram on as many photos as I can to a page, thats a big mistake these days, but I love my little hammer although rarely use it for cards so thought scrapbooking would give me a challenge.

I started cardmaking about 18 months ago. But I have made 2 scrapbooks. 1 for my mum for Mothers Day and 1 for my Grandma for her 92nd birthday last year. They both loved them. I am very pleased I took the plunge. You never know you may surprise yourself if anyone out there is considering doing one. Just give it a try.
