Hi to all fellow forum ATC enthusiasts. I would like, with your support, to get the ATC making and swapping back under way. I have Jan's full support and it would be great to be swapping again.
Just a couple of differences but basic rules first:
ATC must be of the size 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" (Playing card size) and they are only traded (swapped) NEVER sold. Apart from that you can put anything you like on them except please remember that usually they are kept in a recipients folder (and the folder needs to close) and if you enthusiastically put masses on and then don't put the right postage on the envelope I WILL NOT PAY THE EXTRA POSTAGE FOR DELIVERY.
Having said that I would like to use a monthly theme and restrict the number of ATC's to 2 each month.
The ATC's to be received by me by the 21st of each month and if received by then I promise to sent out equivalent number of swaps by the end of the month and then post the theme for the following month.
Please DO NOT FORGET to enclose a self addressed fully stamped envelope.
If you are really interested - and the more the merrier - please pm me with your proper name and address - and I will pm you mine.
I propose to start this with January as I know you are all busy with Xmas at the moment.
The first and following themes will be posted in the ATC section that already exists.

We now have 10 and I am hoping for even more. We had a good entry for the competition earlier on and many of those entries were from first time ATC'ers.

Hi Chippa - lovely to see you posting. First theme is already posted in the ATC thread. Thanks for the good luck wishes. We had some really good entries in the recent competition so I am hoping for great things. I would love to see more people making them for the first time to see if they like it.

More thoughts on the themes for the ATC swops. Could those that are joining in with the swop pm me with a suggestion for a theme. (Keep it clean girls) :o ;D ;D ;D I will put them into a hat and draw one out each month. Much nicer than having one chosen by me each time.

Just a little tip re posting the ATC's to me. I tape mine flat side by side to a scrap of paper with removable tape (on the back) before putting in the envelope. This stops them sliding and bunching up. This could make a difference as they may be nice and flat when you post them but bulk up and fail the PO test some time later.

Feeling a bit smug as I've just walked to the post box and posted my ATCs. 8). Shame they stopped doing a weekend collection as the envelope won't move till Monday.

I have had a few ideas running around my brain, all I need to do now is see if I can find the things to make them with LOL
We are in the middle of creating a craft room for me and Hannah, and a lot of stuff is packed away in boxes just need to get some stuff moved up into the attic then can start sorting out craft stuff and finding new homes for them in the room ;D

When Crafty Crofty's envelope arrived this morning it was very wet but forunately Anne had put her ATC's in plastic wallets so there was no damage done.
Just a thought when putting yours through the post. Most have but some haven't. It would be a shame for them to be spoiled.

Well - all the ATC's are ready for the post and will either go out today or tomorrow.
They have been posted today but probably won't be collected til Monday now.
There are just a couple of things:
Out of 19 we had one resting temporarily and only 2 no shows so that was a good result for first time. A good 'turn out' - well done. Some very different and some quite similar.
I had one without a stamped addressed envelope and I have already pm'd so please don't all ask - was it me?
I would suggest that in future a large letter stamp is put on the stamped addressed envelope for the returns as I have had to add one stamp to one as it was dodgy as far as thickness goes and that was just one of those things. We could keep the thickness down a mite. I am not bothered about doing the odd one as I would have to use stamps if they weren't all coming to me - if you see what I mean.
I have tried to make sure that they are in plastic sleeves and are fixed to a card so that they don't slip in the envelope. If you could re-use it that would be great.
Last thing. When I set this up I forgot to ask you to put A & B Forum No: ? on both envelopes. I would be grateful if you could do that please.
I look forward to seeing all the 'Enchanting' ATC's for February.

Have posted my Enchanted ATC's to you. Not with it at the moment & put the wrong date on the back. Made at the weekend, & put '30 January' on, but whats a couple of days between friends.
