Just wondered if anyone else makes knitted toys and dolls?

I think i have a few patterns somewhere if you want them Andrea!!
Have you tried knitting with lace, the little christmas trees and things?

My mum knits dolls, really enjoys it and she is now 95 years old, her best are a reversable doll. Sad and happy. You turn it upside down and its another dolls face.

Hi Dylan, glad to hear that your mum still enjoys herself, even at that age. I have done a few toys but have never tried the topsy turvy doll yet, I think I need some more experience first.

Try the Jean Greenhowe books and leaflets. There are about 20 different ones with all sorts of large and small dolls and toys in them.

oooh I used to knit the scarecrows - haven't done one for ages. still have the pattern books

go searching on the google or other web sites and they have all sorts of patterns you can print out for knitting and crocheting

I have knitted some of the Jean Greenhowe toys but I never got round to sewing them up one day I will get round to it

My mum brought one home from america that her brother in laws sister made and a few other ones for the smaller grandkids.

I have the Jean Greenhowe knitted toys book and the Jean Greenhowe mascot dolls, but would love to be able to do other things.

I too have knitted many toys as well as junpers, cardigans etc over the years and somewhere hidden in my house is the collection of all Jean Greehowe books. And have spent many an hour stuck in hospital either with the kids or on my own knitting these lovely toys
