Post by: pixie on August 24, 2006, 09:48:43 AM
Anyone used flower soft ?
If so how did you use it and what do you think about it
I think it's a bit messy to use but you get nice results

Hi. Yes have used flower soft, to make bouquets, card decorations and on a small teddy bear. Easy to use. Shake off over a pot, then you dont loose any(too expensive to waste)

HI,
I love flower soft.  I've been making bouquets on cardstock using a variety of flowers and adding sprays to them by applying PVA glue with a toothpick and then sprinkling on flower soft.  Also used think metal wire with a blob of PVA on the top.  Sprinkle flower soft over the glue and you can make a spray of lovely flowers.
I also use the green flower soft as grass.  Just spread the PVA where you want the grass to be and sprinkle on the flower soft.
I always empty it into a container first and fluff it out.  I think it is too compacted in the tub and best to do it this way.

I'd been wanting to try flowersoft for ages  I finally bought one pot of it to try (the heather mix) then thought if I like using it I can buy more

I put it safe until I wanted to use it - but it's too safe I can't find it  ;D

hi janet,
i'm killing myself here, sounds standard is the quote. sue, miss glitter started with the heathere mix and has slowly increased the range, sue empties the pots into take away containers makes life easier and spillage less. i have been considering doing a landscape painting using flowersoft but as is said it's costly. got to save up. its great, take care

Hi Trappers
The heather mix seems to be a popular one to start off with  I chose it because of the colouring  I have saved a container to empty it into - when I find it  ;D  I just cant seem to find it anywhere  - I cant even say I've hidden it so OH doesnt see it because I dont have an OH to have to hide things from  ;D  it will turn up soon I hope

Hi Kassy nice to see you posting here ~  that sounds like a good idea using it with sillicone to give it that raised effect  I think I'll give it a try when I find it

I know I said I was going to wait, but I have secummed and bought a starter kit with 7 different pots in, only because it was on offer LOL. Now I need to pluck up the courage to use it and make the space so I can use it LOL

I will also need to find some containers to put them into as they are very tightly packed at present.

Nona :-)

I was beginning to think it had gone forever  I looked everywhere apart from there  ;D
Hopefully I will get to try it out over the next couple of days
