Making Your Own Christmas Cards

Many people like to make their own Christmas Cards and there is no doubt that many people also enjoy recieving home made cards. Getting a home made card makes you feel that the sender has actually put some thought and effort into it. I for one love getting homemade cards from the kids. OK lets be honest, they're not that good but it really is the thought that counts.

Different types of card making.

  • Download a card off the net and print it of.
  • Get graphics of a disc or the net. Use a design or graphics programme to make the card.
  • Buy a kit with everything it it plus instructions to make a card.
  • Download or buy backing papers, decoupage, inserts etc and put together a crad from them.
  • Make a card from scratch painting / drawing the designs yourself.

None of these is better or worse than the others although I doubt just printing a finished card which you find on the net can be thought of as handmade.

On this site you will find a category on graphics which you can download for free and use in your card making. You will also find a specific Card Making section (in Paper crafts) where you will find 100s of links to free decoupage, backing papers, inserts and everything else you  may need in the way of designs for cards. You will also find links to projects which you can either follow or use for inspiration.
